East Tennessee Shop Hop - July 6th - 31st
Shop hop time has finally arrived!!! For those of you new to the shop hop it runs July 6th - 31st and it's shops all around East Tennessee. There are 12 shops in the shop hop. Passports are $5 and can be purchased and turned in at any of the shops in the shop hop. There are lots of amazing prizes to win (see passport for details on all prizes). We are raffling off an additional basket for everyone who drops off their passport at Twisted Sisters (that's in addition to the prizes being given away by the shop hop!). Drawing for our basket will be held on July 31st at 4pm (the drawings for the shop hop prizes will be August 2nd). Also, each shop has created a block for the shop hop. Kit's for each shops block are available at each shop for $7 (includes the pattern and the fabric to make the block) so you can collect all 12 and have enough for a quilt top! This year's fabric line is Christmas Morning by Moda. We have ordered precuts and 14 bolts from the fabric line. Be sure to pick up your fabric because once it's gone, it's gone for good!
All of our classes are listed on our website. We will be limiting the maximum number of students to 6 to enable the students and instructor to maintain social distancing. Be sure and check out our website for the classes and events currently scheduled.PLACEMATS FOR MEALS ON WHEELS
We are collecting placemats to be donated to Smoky Mountain Meals on Wheels next November. Our goal is to collect at least 1,000 so every member served via Meals on Wheels will receive a placemat. These can be any style you want, one sided or reversible; something they can use all year. The recipients are all adults. Since we don't know the percentage of male versus female, placemats that would be good for any person will be appreciated.
Goal: 1,000 +
We will still take pillowcases if you want to make and donate them. We do have several organizations that accept and appreciate them. As of March 24, 2021 we have received 80 pillowcases.PROJECT LINUS
is an organization that provides "Security" through blankets. Twisted Sisters is a drop off point for any blanket that is quilted, knitted, sewn, crocheted, etc. as well as hats and/or scarfs. More information is available at projectlinuseasttn.org.QUILTS FOR SALE
