Star Over Stripes pattern, ncq-bbq1-pq, by New Covenant Quilting.  Star over Stripes – Additional Borders Versions 1& 2 is an add-on quilt pattern that offers two border options for making the Star Over Stripes – BBQ1 into a quilt that meets the guidelines of the Quilts of Valor Foundation. It is an add-on to the original pattern.  Please note, it does NOT include the original pattern.  This pattern includes new fabric requirements and cutting instructions for each of two versions along with piecing instructions for adding borders and one version changes the original outer border slightly.  You will also need the Star Over Stripes – BBQ1 pattern.  If you already have the Star Over Stripes – BBQ1 pattern, you only need this additional pattern to make it into a quilt that meets the Quilts of Valor Foundation guidelines.  If you haven’t already purchased the Star Over Stripes – BBQ1 pattern, order both to make one of the Additional Borders versions.  The quilt measures 60″x72″ which is within the Quilts of Valor Foundation’s guidelines.  This quilt reflects my love of this country and that, after my husband’s retirement from the Air Force, I am still a sucker for patriotism.
